Application	Levulinic acid, also known as Acetylpropionic acid & Fructose acid, is mainly used as raw materials for the manufacture of resins, medicines, fragrances and coatings. In the pharmaceutical industry, its calcium salts can be made into intravenous injections and indomethacin. Its lower esters can be used as food flavors and tobacco flavors. The bisphenol acid produced by this product can produce water-soluble resin, which can be used in the paper industry to produce filter paper. It can also be used to make pesticides, dyes and surfactants. It is also used as an extraction and separation agent for aromatic compounds.
